This is our topic for Thursday, August 7.
This article makes me think twice before shaking hands with all of you hospital workers :)
Here are some questions:
1) Many korean people think that doctors who frequently prescribe antibiotics are bad, and some newspapers even list hospitals which use large amount of antibiotics. What is your opinion about this?
2) Drug resistant pathogens (i.e. MRSA or VRE) are man-made disasters. How can we prevent the advent of those dangerous creatures?
3) Doctors say that the compliance of the patient is the most crucial part of treating disease. How about you? Do you follow your doctor's order faithfully or sometimes just cease to take the pills arbiterily?
4) If some incurable infectious disease outbreaks, do you agree that we should isolate the patient to some island just as what old people did to the lepers?
