Lee promotes "World English"
I really like this article. It makes many of the same arguments that I have been making for years. Korea is too focused on the mythical "native speaker" and the cost both in terms of performance and cost it too great.
Starter questions:
1) What is the benefit (if any) of learning/using North American English?
2) Do you agree with Lee?
3) What are the benefits of a "World Englishes" approach?
4) How would education change in Korea if this approach was widely implemented?
