Topic for Tuesday:
This is an interesting article that describes a slight change in the way that younger Koreans approach buying a home. There is a lot of sub-text in this article that also touches on issues of speculation, rising property costs, and expectations for housing in Korea (particularly the Seoul area).
My questions include:
1) Why are housing prices in the Seoul area going up so much?
2) Why does everyone want to live in Seoul?
3) What is the government doing to encourage development in other parts of the country?
4) Do you plan to rent or buy a home?
5) What factors would you consider important when looking for a home? (location, price, style, etc...)
6) What do you think of borrowing money (taking out a loan or mortgage) to buy a home? What would your parents think about this?
