Women and Heart Disease

This link points to an interesting recording of a medical program called Second Opinion. The topic for this day is Women and Heart Disease. The content is an interesting, brief presentation on how women with heart disease are often misdiagnosed both by physicians and themselves.

I think that this is an interesting topic, not just for Cardiologists, but for all of us. Most of us don't really think of heart disease as a woman's issue, but possibly due to this mindset, it is more deadly for women than for men.

How prevalent is heart disease in women in Korea? Do you think that both patients and doctors should be better prepared for diagnosing this problem in women? What should be done?
